Honor Guard on Display at “The Way We Were” Car Show

The Honor Guard was proudly represented at this year’s “The Way We Were” Car Show held in Ballston Spa, NY on Sunday, October 10th . This was the 19th annual show and arguably the largest show of its kind in the region this year with over 400 show cars on display.

Seven HGA members staffed our display booth: Al Cyr, Mark Joly, Frank Merrill, Joe Thatcher, Dennis Gaspie, Ernie Dreimiller, and Don Boone. Attendees ranged into the thousands as the weather was ideal. The array of cars and trucks from all over upstate New York ranged from a 1921 Ford Model T to 1960s muscle cars, multiple years of both foreign & domestic sports cars, stock and modified trucks, and various specialty vehicles.

A steady range of attendees stopped by our display booth, both Veterans and non-Vets, offering wonderful opportunities to introduce many to our organization and highlight our mission and related community events. We also received donations from many attendees passing by and thanking us for what we do at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

Content, photos and video all provided by Vice Commander, Don Boone. Thank you and please enjoy!
