On November 14th Tamarac Middle school students took part in a Honor Guard Presentation this week in honor of Veteran’s Day. Students learned about the folding of the flag, the history of the flag and listened to a rendition of Taps. They also had a question and answer session with the veterans who attended. The three association members were:
Norm Miller was in the Army for two years and 11 months. He later enlisted in the Air Force where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant, E-7 as a Recruiter for 16 years when he retired from the Air Force. www.AuthorNormanMiller.com
Laura Lemoine was also in the Air Force. She had four years of active duty. At the time of her discharge, she was a Personnel Specialist, E-4.
Tim Forbes was in the Marine Corps. He is still a Marine because they say once a Marine, always a Marine. Tim had three years of active duty and at the time of his discharge, he was a Corporal, E-4, Field Radio Operator.

Dear Mark,
Please share this letter with Norm Miller, Tim Forbes & Laura Lemoine. We thank all of you for your wonderful presentation to our middle school students. Many of our students have families who are serving or who have served, making your presentation even more meaningful. This was a wonderful way to remember our veterans and learn about the services that the Honor Guard provides, that their family members are entitled to. We really appreciate that you all took time out of your busy schedules to be here. It was a memorable day! Below is a copy from our district page. Photos can be found on our District Facebook page too. I personally thank you for your service.
Wishing you all the best this Holiday Season and in the New Year.
Thank You!
